Tonight's a full moon. If your social media feed is anything like mine, it's probably full of teachings about the Sturgeon moon, the lunar eclipse and a deeper meaning of these celestial happenings.
All of that is well above my paygrade.
However, I can tell you that tonight's full moon coincides with the end of the week, a time of rest. And, in my tradition, a time to be re-ensouled.
Tonight's full moon is also the halfway point through the Hebrew month of Elul, which is sometimes understood as an acronym for "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine."
And...this full moon is also my first night at Burning Man.
60,000 people trek out to the barren desert of Nevada each year for all sorts of intentions.
But my intentions are clear: to rest, to fill my soul, and to experience the fullness of love.
Sometimes, life moves at such a rapid pace that it's all too easy to keep turning the crank of life and miss out on what I really need.
At Burning Man, everything else in life stops.
There is just me, the desert, thousands of others 😉... and everything else will have to wait.
If you're ready for a break from the pace of life and re-soul and explore what is possible in life, I have a few opportunities to do so below.
If a retreat is not on your bingo card today, but you'd still value a reset, try this:
Sit
Breathe
Ask: What do I desire?
And again: What do I desire?
And again: What do I desire?
Breathe again
And love yourself for all of your desires.
With blessings of the full moon,
Ted
